Chelfham House is a residential care home providing specialist Dementia care for the elderly. Our aim is to provide "person centred care", in a safe and homely atmosphere, whilst respecting an individual's privacy, dignity and independence at all times.
Our highly skilled staff are on call 24 hours a day to provide all necessary personal care, and our dedicated activities coordinator is always busy organising daily activities and regular trips out. We are proud to have an "open house" policy at Chelfham House with regard to visitors, and feel strongly that this forms an important part of the homely atmosphere we try to create. Wendy Plant, the home's manager is extremely approachable and always available to chat and discuss concerns and suggestions.
Chelfham house is quietly situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, enjoying superb views and yet conveniently only a few minutes drive of Barnstaple town centre.
